Caitlin offers full or partial training at your home or
facility for sport horses and lessons for riders looking
to improve their dressage basics, move up the levels, or
compete at local and regional shows. Caitlin has experience
with many different types of horses at all levels. Caitlin has
gained a great deal of experience as a working student for top trainers,
and has developed her own method of training. She focuses on correct, classical basics and takes a great deal of pride in developing horses into happy, confident athletes fairly and without force. She believes strongly that a horse who understands what is expected and is comfortable and happy in his work will be more successful and last longer than a horse who works out of fear or is taught using force. Caitlin also enjoys teaching people to ride and train their own horses using this philosophy.

It is highly important to Caitlin to continue her own education. She has worked extensively with Sue Curry Shaffer at Fairwind Farm. Sue is a USEF R Judge, Grand Prix trainer, and gifted instructor. Caitlin has participated in clinics whenever possible with Axel Steiner (O Judge) and Alex van Silfhout, a A team rider and trainer from Holland. In October of 2008 Caitlin was a rider with two horses (Alexander and Rudilov) in a Conrad Schumacher symposium at Portola Valley Training Center. Most recently Caitlin rode Della in a clinic at Fairwind Farm with Debbie McDonald.

Please contact Caitlin to learn more about her training and teaching services as well as for information about rates. Caitlin is available for training, lessons, and clinics.
