Fall 2011
*CRC Dressage will be moving to Woodbridge Farm on October 1, 2011! We are all very excited about this move to such a beautiful, peaceful facility and are really looking forward to the big turnouts, hacking trails and relaxed atmosphere that Woodbridge offers. Caitlin will be available for training and lessons at Woodbridge starting October 1. Stay tuned for more pictures, updates and exciting events planned after the move!
Summer 2011
*Revere Saddlery will now be sponsoring Caitlin! These are great saddles made to fit each horse individually. They are incredibly comfortable to ride in and the horses just love the way they fit. Thanks to Chrissy at Revere for all her help and for measuring Beaujeleux for her new saddle! She loves it and feels great after her first 2 rides in it!
*Lexi has sold! Congratulations to Wendy from Wilton, CA. We know Lexi will have a great home and wish she and Wendy the best of luck in the future. They will make a great team together.
*Bugzy and Fred attended their first schooling show at Woodbridge Farm with great success. Marie and Kali both competed at Training Level and both horses were exceptionally well behaved and took great care of their nervous first-timer owners! Neither Marie, nor Kali had ever competed in Dressage before, and Marie had never shown at all!
*Cooper and Caitlin are having a successful show season together at 3rd and 4th level, and just completed Cooper’s first Prix St. Georges test at Yarra Yarra on July 3 with a 64%, having never run through the test! Cooper is scheduled to compete at PSG again at Woodside Summer Dressage before his owner takes a turn later this season.
*Lexi successfully competed in four recognized shows in her first season under saddle, scoring as high as 77.857% at Training Level. She was high point winner at two shows and brought home many blue ribbons.
*Teresa Magno and her young mare Coco have joined the training program! Coco is a 3 year old mare here to be backed and started in Dressage. She’s adorable and very easy going and will make her mom a great all around horse!
Winter/Spring 2011
*Marie Satterfield and Flyboy Fred have joined the team. Fred is a wonderful 17.2 hand Hanoverian gelding who is teaching his new mom a lot about riding forward with energy! Fred is a great guy and we should all watch for this great pair in the show ring!
*Kali Armitage and her three and a half year old mare moved in at the end of February! CRC Dressage is happy to welcome both to the team. Rosewood Doon Buggy (Bugzy) is an adorable dun Connemara. She’s just settling in but so far seems confident and unfazed by the excitement of Riverside. Caitlin is looking forward to working with both Kali and Bugzy!
*In January 2011 Fabulux BMW and Emily Ebert, of Black Mountain Warmbloods, joined the training program. Lexi is a beautiful five year old Hanoverian mare that Emily bred herself. Caitlin is excited for this new partnership and is very much enjoying working with Lexi. She attended her first dressage show in February with fantastic results, winning both of her classes and receiving the highest score of the show (70.7% at Training Level test 2)! Lexi and Caitlin also attended a clinic at Starr Vaughn with Jan Ebeling, Caitlin’s former employer and trainer. Lexi is always impressive with her level headed attitude and confidence even in new situations! Her next event will be the Festival at Rancho Murieta, April 7-10, 2011. This is a much bigger show and Lexi will compete in Training level as well as Materiale. We’d love to see you (she does love an audience) if anyone wants to come out and watch!
*Caitlin has formed a partnership with Tracy Maher of Eiresown Sporthorses in Paola, Kansas. Caitlin will work with one of Tracy’s young horses, Beaujeleux, with the intention of training and eventually selling her. Beaujeleux is a four and a half year old Dutch Warmblood that Tracy bred and started herself. She arrives at Riverside in mid January to begin her new career as a dressage horse! Hopefully this partnership will lead to more young sales horses in the future, as Tracy has some truly lovely youngsters coming along.
*CRC Dressage is now located primarily at Riverside Equestrian Center on Lakeville Highway in Petaluma. Caitlin is accepting new horses and riders in training. All stalls have attached paddocks, and daily turnout is also available. We have year round use of a beautiful covered arena, as well as many other arenas for schooling.
2010
*In December Caitlin took over the training program at Rock Rose Ranch in Nicasio. This is a beautiful private facility with many wonderful horses and owners. Caitlin is at Rock Rose on Monday afternoons, Wednesday mornings, and Thursday afternoons most weeks.
*Limelight qualifies at PSG for the 2010 CDS/USDF Championships at LA Equestrian Center in Burbank, CA October 7-10.
*Caitlin and Rebecca Cushman’s Limelight (aka Haydn) have had a successful season at 4th level and Prix St. Georges, scoring as high as 68.4% in the PSG at Fieldstone Farm in August!
